At Roberto's Flooring, we understand that choosing the perfect countertops for your home is a significant decision. That's why we offer two exceptional countertop options: granite and quartz. To help you make the right choice for your home, we've provided detailed information about both materials below.

Quartz

Quartz countertops are engineered stone surfaces made primarily from crushed natural quartz crystals  combined with resins, polymers, and pigments.

It’s non-porous, which means it doesn’t require sealing and is less susceptible to bacterial growth. It is very low maintenance; simply wipe clean with soap and water. It is also resistant to staining, so it doesn’t need regular sealing like granite.

Quartz countertops can be relatively expensive, but the cost varies based on the quality, brand, and design.

Granite

Granite countertops are natural stone surfaces made from 100% solid granite, which is extracted from quarries and cut into slabs. Granite offers a unique and varied appearance with a wide range of natural colors, veining, and patterns. Each slab of granite is distinct, providing a one-of-a-kind look.

Granite countertops require periodic sealing to maintain their resistance to stains and moisture. The cost of granite countertops can vary widely based on the rarity of the stone, its source, and the complexity of the installation. While there are affordable options, some exotic granite varieties can be quite expensive.
